Computer Science – For the well-trained... and the sharp-eyed

This year's Computer Science exam didn’t surprise in terms of syllabus deviation or unreasonable complexity. But it was clearly tailored to well-prepared students — almost resembling a retake-style challenge rather than a main session paper.
Topic D followed a familiar, “classical” structure: standard methodologies, logical steps, and the need for precision and prior experience. It wasn’t tricky for the sake of being tricky — but it definitely didn’t offer any shortcuts. Meanwhile, Topic C arguably stood out as the most demanding. It required genuine understanding, not just recipe-based answers.
That said, there was a noticeable gradient in difficulty throughout the paper. The exercises started off more accessible and gradually increased in complexity. No random traps — but success depended on focus, clarity, and practice.
Small details —like array handling or programming logic accuracy— could make or break a top score. Those who paid attention to such nuances had a clear edge over the merely “prepared.”
Conclusion
The 2025 Computer Science exam wasn’t excessive, but it wasn’t generous either. It rewarded students with both breadth and depth of practice, especially those who could remain sharp under pressure and had a solid grasp of the subject’s inner workings.
If the goal was to highlight the most well-trained candidates — mission accomplished.
